Jenny Barlow, Project Co-ordinator for DIY Streets Kings Heath, has shared the latest design proposals for the High Street. You can view the designs in this pdf:
DIY Streets High Street Design Proposals Nov-Dec 2014 (pdf, 6.2mb)
From Sustrans DIY Streets Kings Heath Facebook Page:
“Please take a look at the latest plans for the Kings Heath High Street below and let us know what you think!
The design is now moving into the more finalised stages and Sustrans are currently refining the details of the High Street proposals. We still keen to find out what people think to try and reach an overall consensus on the designs before passing them to the Council to go through formal consultation. At the moment the phase 1 improvements are due to take place on the ground next year. The proposals are still open for consultation and if you would like to submit any comments, feedback or ideas please leave them on here or contact me (Jenny Barlow, project coordinator) directly:
E: jenny.barlow@sustrans.org.uk
Dates for December events where you can come along and take part in the process will be announced very shortly.”
I am still looking for a properly “rationalised” explanation as to why a design has not been considered which includes properly segregated cycle lanes.

I would also like a written confirmation adressed to the commun ity of Kings Heath and Livein Hope, that protected cycle lanes on the High Street has been declined by …… & the reasons why.
Thanks
